Why Choose Us for Dentures in Milwaukee, WI

In-House Extractions With Calming Sedation

When teeth need to come out before dentures go in, we handle the entire process right here. Your dentist in Milwaukee, WI, can perform extractions on-site with sedation options that keep you relaxed, so there is no referral, no extra office, and no gap in your care.

Digital Impressions for a Better Fit

We use digital scanning technology instead of traditional molds to capture the shape of your dental arches. The result is a more accurate impression, a more comfortable appointment, and dentures that fit right the first time. Patients at our Hales Corners practice appreciate the difference from day one.

Personalized Options From Traditional to Implant-Supported

Drs. Don and Cathleen Czaplicki have placed dentures for Milwaukee-area patients for more than 35 years. Whether you need a full set, a partial, or implant-supported dentures for added stability, we match the solution to your goals, health, and budget.

Benefits of Dentures

Improved Quality of Life

Missing teeth can impact the function of your smile, making it difficult to speak clearly or chew your favorite foods. Dentures can restore the function of your mouth once more, allowing you to eat the foods you love and speak normally again.

Improved Oral Health

Tooth loss and tooth decay can lead to significant dental health issues such as infection, bone loss, and sagging facial features. Extracting decayed teeth and replacing them with dentures can reduce and eliminate further infections.

Bone and Gum Tissue Support

The jawbone and surrounding tissue require stimulation from the tooth roots to stay strong and healthy. Even a single missing tooth can cause bone and tissue degeneration. Implants act as prosthetic tooth roots, stopping this degenerative process.

Prevent Excessive Wear on Remaining Teeth

Your bite force may be unevenly distributed if you have any remaining natural teeth. This can cause uneven wear, damaging those teeth. Dentures can restore the balance to your bite, evenly distributing your bite pressure along all teeth.

Boosted Self-Confidence

Missing teeth can be embarrassing and cause you to hide your smile. Our expertly trained Milwaukee-area dentists can craft natural-looking dentures that replace your missing teeth and allow you to smile with confidence again.

"I couldn’t be happier."

“I can’t say enough about my positive experience with Dr Don and team at Czaplicki Family Denistry. Dr Don is an extremely capable professional who put me right at ease. His attention to detail and skill really shine through in my results and I couldn’t be happier. The energy in the office is relaxed and calming and their follow up is exempliary. So glad I found my way here!” — Joanie, 5-Star Review

Implant-Supported vs. Traditional Dentures

At our Milwaukee practice, patients can choose between implant-supported dentures and traditional dentures. Both options are available as partials or complete sets.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are anchored directly to the jawbone, eliminating the need for adhesives. The implants fuse with the bone through osseointegration, which preserves your jaw structure and prevents the facial changes that can follow tooth loss.

Prevents Bone Loss and Facial Changes

Implants stimulate the jawbone the same way natural tooth roots do, keeping the bone strong and your facial structure intact over time.

No Slipping or Adhesives

Because they are fixed in place, implant dentures stay secure while you eat, speak, and smile. No removable pieces, no shifting.

Brush and Floss Like Natural Teeth

Care is straightforward. You brush and floss implant dentures just like your natural teeth, with no nightly removal or soaking required.

Traditional Dentures

Traditional dentures rest along your gums and are held in place by suction, adhesives, or clasps. They are a proven, reliable option for restoring your smile, and they can be a good fit when implants are not an option.

No Bone Grafting Required

If bone density is limited, traditional dentures skip the grafting step entirely, reducing both treatment time and cost.

Faster Turnaround

Without the months-long healing period that implants require, traditional dentures can be ready sooner.

More Affordable

Traditional dentures are generally more cost-effective. We also offer financing through CareCredit® to help with either option.

Timeline for Dentures

Your dentist will ensure you are completely comfortable with the appearance and fit of your new dentures.
Your dentist will ensure you are completely comfortable with the appearance and fit of your new dentures.

Prep Work

At your initial consultation, your dentist will examine your mouth and discuss your oral health history to determine if dentures are the right treatment option for you. Because each patient's dental needs are unique, your timeline may vary. If you need extractions, your gums must be fully healed before treatment can proceed. If you choose dental implants, the implants must be given time to fuse to your jawbone. This process is called osseointegration and can take three to six months. Implant-supported dentures may also require preparatory bone grafting if your jaw lacks sufficient density to support the implants.

Impressions

Once your gums and jaw have healed, or if you do not require preparatory treatment, our Milwaukee-area dentists will take digital impressions. These eliminate the need for messy putty impressions. The impressions will be sent to our lab, where we will begin crafting your custom dentures.

Customizing

Full dentures may require wax rims to ensure a proper fit. Our dentists want to ensure that you achieve maximum fit, function, and comfort to get the most out of your dentures. You will also choose tooth color at this appointment. This step allows your dentist to make any changes before your dentures are fully processed.

Fitting

Once your dentures are delivered to our Milwaukee-area practice, you will have an appointment to make adjustments. Your dentist will ensure you are completely comfortable in your new dentures. If you receive implant-supported dentures, your dentist will secure the dentures to your implants. There is no need to remove implant-supported dentures except for routine cleanings with your dentist.

Follow-Ups

As you wear your new dentures, it is normal to have one to three appointments to make further adjustments and achieve the right fit. If you experience any discomfort with your new dentures, please let your dentist know so he or she can address this issue as soon as possible. At Czaplicki Family Dentistry, we want you to be comfortable and confident with your new smile!
